On-line versions of "The DataBus" | |||

Dayton Microcomputer Association (DMA®) is pleased to offer its award-winning newsletter, The DataBus, on-line in Adobe PDF format. If you do not have a free Adobe Acrobat Reader or other PDF reader required to view these files, you may visit Adobe then download and install the latest version. Or, you can use Xpdf for Linux and DOS/Win32 - download and install the latest version, or Foxit Software's free PDF reader for numerous computer platforms. Most recent issues are less than 2 MB, although some of the older ones are larger. If you have difficulty reading the PDF files on-line using Internet Explorer, please read this article on troubleshooting problems opening PDF files in Internet Explorer window. The PDF files display fine in Netscape, Mozilla Firefox, and other browsers, but using IE 6, they show only an empty window. A work-around is to right-click the desired link and select "Save Target As..." to save the PDF file to your hard drive, then open the file locally. This is a problem with IE 6 which I've found mentioned numerous places, but haven't found a solution that works, except to download the file and view it locally. Beginning with our April 2007 meeting, we'll meet at Huber Heights Athletic Foundation, 5367 Fishburg Road, Huber Heights. Also, we've moved the meeting starting time from 7:30 to 7:00 pm. These meetings are open to anyone interested in computers and we welcome both the experienced and inexperienced user. You need not be a member to attend but if you like what you see and hear your membership will be welcomed. Dues are only $25.00 a year and not only entitle you to a year's subscription to the DMA® publication The DataBus mailed to you, and eligibility to win valuable door prizes at our main monthly meeting, but gives you access to a group of enthusiastic computer users who are always willing to listen to your ideas and help solve your problems. As of October 2008, all newsletters except the two most recent issues are freely available to everyone. The two most recent issues are only available to current DMA members, who will need to log in to read them. 2008
